State High Court Declines Williams' Royalties Case

Law360 (September 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Colorado Supreme Court has decided not to review an appeal by The Williams Co., upholding a jury's $4 million award to a rancher who claimed the natural gas giant owed him royalties.

The state's highest court on Monday denied the petition for writ of certiorari filed by Williams subsidiary Williams Production RMT Co., which sought to overturn the Colorado Court of Appeals decision that the company had violated the state's Consumer Protection Act.
