Madoff Victims Can't See Simpson Thacher Files, Judge Says

Law360, New York (June 1, 2012, 8:00 PM EDT) -- A pair of investors will not be granted access to correspondence between Spring Mountain Capital LP and their legal counsel Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, a Maine federal judge ruled Friday, as they look to pursue an ongoing civil suit with the investment firm over money lost through Bernard L. Madoff's $20 billion Ponzi scheme.
