FDA Warns Of Harmful Unlisted Drugs In Mexican Supplement

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 11:48 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday warned consumers that Mexican health officials have recalled Reumofan Plus, marketed as a “natural” dietary supplement for pain relief, which has been found to contain several unlisted and potentially harmful pharmaceutical ingredients.

The FDA told the public not to take Reumofan Plus and instructed those who are taking it or who have recently stopped to consult a doctor immediately.

“Consumers should not buy or start using the product,” the FDA said Friday.
