Car Transport Co. Can't Shuttle Ch. 11 Case Out Of Del.

Law360, Wilmington (June 4, 2012, 7:59 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Friday denied Atlanta-based Allied Systems Holdings Inc.'s motion seeking to shift the venue of its involuntary Chapter 11 to Georgia, ruling the alleged debtors did not meet the burden of proof that fell to them.

Units of private equity firms Black Diamond Capital Partners LLC and Spectrum Investment Partners LP asked the Delaware court May 17 to place Allied Systems Holdings and Allied Systems Ltd. into involuntary Chapter 11, claiming they had defaulted on $53 million in loan payments.
