House Bill Would Pay Family Docs To Return To Practice

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 2:49 PM EDT) -- A Democratic congressman on Friday introduced a bill that would offer incentives for doctors to return to medical practice, as a way to alleviate a national shortage of family physicians, pediatricians and primary care providers.

The bill, authored by Rep. John Sarbanes, D-Md., would provide training and financial assistance to physicians returning to practice in exchange for their service at a public health care provider.
