Hospitals Knock 'Haphazard' CMS Rules Process

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 8:00 PM EDT) -- The American Hospital Association railed against the Obama administration for the “increasingly haphazard way” that regulations are implemented and urged a Republican-led House committee to keep the Medicare agency in line, in a letter sent Friday.

The AHA was responding to a request from Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, for business groups' “insight on regulations that hurt job creation.” The National Community Pharmacists Association also wrote in, panning the administration for regulations it said hurt independent pharmacies....
