Microsoft, Regulators Gear Up For Antitrust Ruling

Law360, New York (September 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- One of the most-watched competition cases to be heard by the European Court of First Instance will come to a head next week, when the court hands down its ruling in the long-running spat between Microsoft Corp. and the European Commission.

A 13-judge panel in Europe's second-highest court will rule on the case on Sept. 17, determining whether the commission correctly decided that the software maker had abused its dominant market position.
