OMERS PE Unit Pays $321M For UK Special Care Co.

Law360, Chicago (June 11, 2012, 1:58 PM EDT) -- The private equity arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System said Monday it will purchase Lifeways, a U.K.-based support service provider for people with certain disabilities, from private equity fund August Equity LLP in a deal reportedly worth $321 million.

OMERS Private Equity Inc. said it was backing Lifeways CEO Paul Marriner in the secondary management buy-out, and that it will be working with Lifeways' management team to boost the business through acquisitions and organic growth.
