Iraq Awards $284M In Contracts To Make Oil Pipeline

Law360, New York (June 11, 2012, 7:10 PM EDT) -- The Iraqi government has awarded separate contracts to Indian and Danish firms to build and operate pipeline manufacturing facilities to support the country's recovering oil industry in deals worth a combined $284 million, multiple media outlets said Monday.

The Iraqi government has awarded Indian steel making company Jindal Saw Ltd. a roughly $198 million contract to build and operate an energy transmission manufacturing facility in southern Iraq, the Times of India reported.
