Senate Moves To Final Vote On 9th Circ. Nominee

Law360, New York (June 11, 2012, 9:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate voted Monday to end debate over the nomination of an Arizona federal judge to serve on the Ninth Circuit, while President Barack Obama nominated former Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and O'Melveny & Myers LLP appellate practice group heads to serve on the D.C. Circuit.

In a 60 to 31 vote, mostly along party lines, the Senate passed a motion to invoke cloture on the debate over the nomination of Arizona Supreme Court Vice Chief Justice Andrew David Hurwitz to the Ninth Circuit....
