Holder Grilled Over Antitrust Office Closings, 2nd Term Plans

Law360, New York (June 12, 2012, 7:36 PM EDT) -- Holding his ground during a U.S. Departrment of Justice oversight hearing Tuesday, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder sidestepped a call by Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis. to re-examine a plan to close four Antitrust Division field offices and refused to say whether he would serve a second term if President Barack Obama were re-elected.

Kohl described the plan to shutter field offices in Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas and Philadelphia as "perhaps penny wise and pound foolish" at the hearing, but could not win a promise that Holder would...
