CPSC Mulls Reforms To Recall System

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 3:09 PM EDT) -- Members of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission indicated Wednesday that they would consider establishing a tiered recall system that treated especially dangerous defects differently than problems that might warrant only a label change.

The agency's commissioners convened a public hearing in Bethesda, Md., to solicit input from consumer and industry groups regarding what the CPSC's priorities should be for the 2014 fiscal year.
