Minn. Court Lets AT&T Build Cell Tower In Wilderness Area

Law360, New York (June 18, 2012, 5:01 PM EDT) -- The Minnesota Court of Appeals on Monday allowed construction to proceed on a 450-foot AT&T Mobility LLC cellphone tower in a designated wilderness area, dealing a blow to conservation groups with its finding that the tower would not have a severe adverse effects on scenic views.

In a unanimous unpublished decision overturning a lower court ruling, a three-judge panel found that the state district court failed to "weigh and analyze the relative severity" the proposed tower would have on views in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area...
