Patent Malpractice A Federal Court Issue, Justices Hear

Law360, New York (June 18, 2012, 4:53 PM EDT) -- Legal malpractice cases involving patents should be heard in federal court, rather than state court, to ensure uniform application of patent law, an inventor who sued his attorneys told the U.S. Supreme Court in a brief on Wednesday, in a case that could resolve the contentious jurisdictional issue.
