US, South Africa Create Forum To Address Trade Tiffs

Law360, New York (June 18, 2012, 6:43 PM EDT) -- The United States and South Africa signed an agreement Monday to bolster trade between the two countries by providing a new venue in which to address disputes and other “impediments to trade flows.”

U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said he and South Africa Minister of Trade Rob Davies signed the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement to amend a previous agreement, reached in 1999, in such a way as to allow the two countries “to establish an ongoing dialogue.”
