Power Plant Services Co. Pays $9M To End FCPA Charges

Law360, New York (June 18, 2012, 10:18 PM EDT) -- A Virginia-based power plant services provider has agreed to pay nearly $9 million to resolve allegations that it violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by bribing officials at a state-owned nuclear power plant in Lithuania, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday.

Data Systems & Solutions LLC, which provides design, installation, maintenance and other services to nuclear and fossil fuel power plants, agreed to pay $8.82 million to settle a two-count criminal information, filed Monday, accusing it of conspiring to violate and violating the FCPA....
