Canada Gets Added To Trans-Pacific Trade Talks

Law360, New York (June 19, 2012, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Canada on Tuesday was invited to join negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, becoming the eleventh participant in the free trade talks one day after the Mexico was added to the group.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a statement that joining the talks with countries from North and South America and Asia was consistent with Canada's active engagement in the Pacific region and commitment to free trade.
