Canada To Drop WTO Case Against Korea Over Beef Trade

Law360, New York (June 19, 2012, 6:27 PM EDT) -- Canada moved on Monday to terminate its trade dispute pending before the World Trade Organization against South Korea after the two countries reached an agreement earlier this year that ended the Asian nation's ban on Canadian beef imports.

Canada's trade and agriculture officials said in a statement Monday that the country was taking steps to formally drop its WTO case against Korea following a January agreement that allowed Canada to resume exporting beef to Korea.
