Technip Lands $380M Contract For Marathon Oil Project

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 7:28 PM EDT) -- Subsea construction specialist Technip SA reeled in a contract worth more than €300 million ($380 million) to build a pipeline system for an $867 million offshore oil and gas project being developed by Marathon Oil Corp.'s Norwegian unit, the contractor announced Wednesday.

Under the contract, Paris-headquartered Technip will engineer and install a network of pipes, tubes and hoses in the southern area of the North Sea to develop the Boyla oil field. Technip's system will underpin Boyla operations at a depth of 120 meters (394 feet),...
