Samsung Takes A Bite Out Of Apple In Dutch Patent Battle

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 2:24 PM EDT) -- A Dutch court on Wednesday ruled in favor of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in its patent feud with archrival Apple Inc., finding Apple owes damages for infringing a patent covering 3G technology in several of its iPhone and iPad models.

The District Court of the Hague found that the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4, along with the iPad 1 and 2 infringe one of Samsung’s patents, according to court documents. However, the ruling does not affect Apple’s latest models, the iPad 3 and the iPhone 4S....
