Report Urges EU, US To Lower Tariffs, Align Trade Regs

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 4:47 PM EDT) -- Reduced tariffs and a universal set of trade regulations are among the options on the table as the United States and the European Union seek to expand trans-Atlantic trade, according to a report released by an EU-U.S. working group on Tuesday.

The EU-U.S. High Level Working Group on Jobs and Growth in an interim report presented a range of policy suggestions designed to boost trade and cross-border investment between the U.S. and the European bloc, advocating a comprehensive approach to boosting their economic relationship.
