ITC To Probe Claims Of Stolen Resin Design

Law360, New York (June 21, 2012, 4:33 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission will launch a full investigation into whether a Chinese company had been importing rubber resins that ripped off a New York company's secret design, the ITC said Thursday.

The ITC said it would look into SI Group Inc.'s accusations that Sino Legend (Zhangjiagang) Chemical Co. Ltd. poached an employee from SIG's Shanghai outpost to steal the company's proprietary method for making tackifier, a solution that increases the stickiness of an adhesive.

The commission said it would set a timetable for investigation...
