Medical Device Cos. WL Gore, Cook Sued Over Stent Patents

Law360, New York (June 22, 2012, 1:33 PM EDT) -- W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. and Cook Medical Inc. were targeted in Florida federal court on Thursday by a patent holder alleging both companies infringed patents related to grafts used in vascular surgery.

Frisco, Texas-based Endotach LLC said in separate lawsuits against Gore and Cook that the companies sold surgical devices used to undo blood vessel blockages that infringe two of the exclusive licensee’s stent patents.
