Ind. Stage Collapse Victims Get $7.2M From Rigging Planners

Law360, New York (June 22, 2012, 9:41 PM EDT) -- Production company Mid-America Sound Corp. and James Thomas Engineering Inc. will shell out $7.2 million to settle with victims of a fatal stage rigging collapse at the August Indiana State Fair, Indiana's attorney general said Friday.

The two companies agreed to pay the amount on top of the $6 million in public funds Indiana is offering to victims of the collapse and their families, after the state's previous $5 million settlement in December, according to Attorney General Greg Zoeller.
