Applera, Agilent Settle Genetic Research Patent Spat

Law360, New York (September 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Applera Corp. and Agilent Technologies announced Tuesday that they have reached a settlement that resolves outstanding patent infringement lawsuits over key equipment used in genetic research.

The companies declined to disclose the financial terms of the settlement and the details of the license agreements, but noted that the settlement plan will put to rest all pending disputes between Applera and Stratagene, a unit of Agilent.
