Metal Hip Implant Safety Studies Lacking, FDA Says

Law360, New York (June 25, 2012, 4:53 PM EDT) -- Recent data suggests that metal-on-metal hip replacement systems are likelier to fail than other hip replacement systems, but more information is needed about the specific safety risks of metal-on-metal implants, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration report said Monday.
