Cinram Units Enter Ch. 15 In Del. As Part Of $82M Sale

Law360, Wilmington (June 25, 2012, 10:00 PM EDT) -- The U.S. affiliates of Toronto-based Cinram International Inc., a provider of prerecorded multimedia products, sought Chapter 15 protection in Delaware bankruptcy court Monday as a precursor to a proposed $82.5 million sale of the Canadian parent to private equity firm Najafi Cos.

Cinram began proceedings Monday under Canada's Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice just prior to the filings by its American affiliates, led by Cinram (U.S.) Holding's Inc.
