EPA Releases New Cement Kiln Emissions Standards

Law360, New York (June 26, 2012, 1:44 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Monday announced revisions to its emission requirements for cement kilns, maintaining key provisions of a 2010 proposal that was challenged by industry groups while agreeing to delay existing source compliance until 2015.

The revisions come as part of last month's proposed settlement with the Portland Cement Association, which had sued the EPA over its 2010 National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants.
