Dutch Co. Wins $120M Towage Deal For Exxon's LNG Port

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 4:06 PM EDT) -- Leading Dutch harbor towage company Smit Lamnalco has landed a $120 million contract to provide tugboat and marine support services for Exxon Mobil Corp.'s massive liquefied natural gas export terminal in Papua New Guinea, a Smit affiliate announced Tuesday.

Smit Lamnalco will invest in four new 65-ton, bollard-pull tugboats to help ships navigate the export hub of the much larger PNG LNG production, processing and liquefaction project that Exxon subsidiary Esso Highlands Ltd. is developing around the Gulf of Papua, according to Royal Boskalis Westminster NV,...
