UK Watchdog Says Mercedes Dealers Share Prices, Markets

Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 1:51 PM EDT) -- One of the U.K.'s competition watchdogs said Thursday that it believed Mercedes-Benz UK Ltd. and several of its dealerships had violated antitrust laws by illegally coordinating prices and sharing information.

The Office of Fair Trading issued a statement of objections that said five of the German automaker's British dealerships had been involved in collusive activity on five separate occasions between 2007 and 2010, and that Mercedes-Benz had directly coordinated two of them.
