Federal Circuit Vacates MEMC Invalidity Ruling

Law360 (September 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the latest twist in MEMC Electronic Materials Inc.’s patent suit, a federal appeals court on Thursday vacated a lower court’s ruling that MEMC’s patent covering a silicon wafer production method was invalid, but upheld a ruling that the company’s rivals did not infringe the technology.
