China Defends Rare Earth Export Restrictions

Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 2:30 PM EDT) -- China said Friday that it would “carefully study” a World Trade Organization challenge by the U.S., the European Union and Japan over export restrictions on rare earth elements, once again arguing that the measures are aimed at protecting the environment rather that economic protectionism.
