Spokane Diocese Lawyers Agree To Lower Fees

Law360, New York (September 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Five law firms involved in the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, Wash.'s Chapter 11 proceedings have agreed to accept cuts of roughly 5% of their proposed fees in order to quell creditor opposition to the fees.

The firms filed a stipulation Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Washington delineating how much each planned to cede from its proposed fees in return for the resolution of numerous objections. The cuts total about $400,000.
