Alibaba Group Manager Arrested In Bribery Investigation

Law360, New York (July 5, 2012, 3:18 PM EDT) -- Chinese police have arrested an executive at a subsidiary of e-commerce outfit Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. on suspicion of bribery, the company said Thursday.

Police in Hangzhou, China, the largest city of the eastern province of Zhejiang and home to Alibaba headquarters, detained Yan Limin, an executive of a division in Alibaba's Taobao unit, Taobao said in a statement published online. An investigation is ongoing.

Taobao, a popular consumer-to-consumer marketplace with more than 370 million registered users, bills itself among the world's 20 most visited websites....
