Lukoil Plans $500M Moscow Pipeline

Law360, New York (July 5, 2012, 6:51 PM EDT) -- Russian oil giant Lukoil OAO said Thursday that it plans to build a $500 million, 310-mile pipeline to supply oil and other fuels to Moscow from its refinery in the nearby Nizhny Novgorod province in an effort to cut transportation costs, according to local news reports.

Lukoil signed a deal with Moscow authorities to build the gas, diesel and jet fuel pipeline, which will replace the current train delivery mechanism and cut the cost of transporting fuel by 10 percent, according to the Moscow Times....
