Patriot Scientific Clears Way For Lawsuits Against Japanese Computer Makers

Law360 (June 15, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Patriot Scientific has resolved a patent dispute with the TPL Group, clearing the way for the company to move ahead with a series of lawsuits it filed in late 2003 against five Japanese computer makers.

The small technology company, based in Southern California, said it penned a deal with the TPL Group to unify patents shared by two inventors working on microprocessor technology during the 1990s.

Under the agreement, the TPL Group was granted full responsibility and authority for commercializing and licensing the technology.
