BOEM Readies For New Gulf Lease Sales

Law360, New York (July 6, 2012, 7:12 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior on Friday asked the oil and gas industry to weigh in on details of eight lease sales the agency will hold in the Gulf of Mexico in the next five years, setting in motion its recently unveiled offshore plan.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management is seeking input on the siting and terms of eight planned lease sales in the western and central Gulf of Mexico planning areas, saying it wants to move early on new offshore leasing.
