Mattress Co. Embezzler Should Serve Over 4 Years, Feds Say

Law360, New York (July 9, 2012, 6:21 PM EDT) -- Kevin Coleman, the former Latex International CEO who admitted to embezzling $1.7 million from the the mattress and pillow maker, should receive "substantially in excess" of four years in prison for having "pillaged" the business to fund his lavish lifestyle, prosecutors said Monday.

Coleman, who didn't even bother to file tax returns and cheated his fellow citizens out of nearly $800,000 in taxes while bilking the Shelton, Conn.-based company between 2005 and 2010, showed no regard for the law, prosecutors told U.S. District Judge Stefan R....
