Obama Signs FDA User Fee Bill

Law360, New York (July 9, 2012, 8:11 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama signed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration user fee bill into law Monday, capping the quick and bipartisan journey of legislation that addresses market exclusivity, trial data and device safety, among other areas.

The Senate and House of Representatives passed their own versions of the legislation in lopsided votes in late May. The House then passed a reconciled bill by voice vote June 20, and the Senate followed with a 92-4 vote June 26.
