Actress Suing Amazon, IMDb For Posting Her Age Dealt Blow

Law360, New York (July 10, 2012, 12:42 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge has trimmed a 40-year-old actress’ breach of contract and privacy suit against IMDb.com Inc. and its parent Amazon.com Inc., tossing claims the two online companies committed fraud by finding and publishing her true age.

U.S. District Judge Marsha J. Pechman on July 2 granted a joint motion by Amazon and IMDb to dismiss actress Junie Hoang’s allegations that Amazon’s and IMDb’s privacy notices were fraudulent, saying her claims did not provide enough detail of the alleged fraud.
