Committee Balks At Sea Containers Extension Bid

Law360, New York (September 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The official committee of unsecured creditors in the Sea Containers Services Ltd. bankruptcy case has filed court documents questioning the company's request to extend its exclusivity and win support of its Chapter 11 plan.

The committee, which represents creditors with substantial direct and indirect unsecured prepetition claims of Sea Containers Services Ltd. and Sea Containers Ltd., said the bondholders/debtor-in-possession lenders have made it clear that they intend to “pursue hard ball litigation tactics” to intimidate it so that it will abandon legal entitlements in the United...
