WTO To Mediate U.S, China IP Dispute

Law360, New York (September 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In response to a complaint by the United States, the World Trade Organization has created a panel to take a closer look at China's policies regarding intellectual property infringement.

The WTO said on Tuesday that the dispute settlement board would look into U.S. allegations that China's IP laws fall short of the standards set by the Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights Agreement.
