Nautilus Seeks To Duck Coverage In Reactor Defect Suit

Law360, New York (July 13, 2012, 6:59 PM EDT) -- Nautilus Insurance Co. asked a Virginia federal court on Friday to declare that it has no duty to defend or indemnify Strongwell Corp. in a suit over its allegedly faulty work on power plant projects, saying the poorly performed work was not an accident as required by the insurance policy.

The commercial general liability insurance policies Strongwell held with Nautilus provide coverage for property damage caused by an occurrence, defined as "an accident, including continuous or repeated exposure to substantially the same general harmful conditions," and...
