Bristow Cleans Hands Of Nigerian Bribe Probe

Law360, New York (September 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Energy company Bristow Group Inc. has already agreed to comply with a cease-and-desist proceeding the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission smacked it with on Wednesday in order to put to rest accusations that its subsidiary bribed the Nigerian government for tax breaks.

The SEC filed its administrative proceeding under the Securities Exchange Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which bans the bribing of foreign officials.
