German Utility Gets €200M For British Waste Energy Plant

Law360, New York (July 16, 2012, 10:02 PM EDT) -- German municipal utility group MVV Energie AG landed €200 million ($246 million) in financing for an English waste-to-energy plant that will help fuel the largest naval base in Western Europe and show off German technology in the sector, the backers announced Monday.

The financing package, which is partly in British pounds, comes in the form of an unsecured corporate loan from KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, the export finance arm of Germany's KfW Bankengruppe, and Sweden's Svenska Handelsbanken, which have equal stakes in the credit facility, according to...
