Libya Taps Wintershall For New Oil Pipeline

Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 6:47 PM EDT) -- Libya's state oil company will build a new pipeline, with the help of Germany's Wintershall AG, intended to help restore the country's oil exports to levels before the 2010 uprising that toppled Col. Moammar Gadhafi and halted energy production, National Oil Corp. said Tuesday.

NOC said its subsidiary Arabian Gulf Oil Co. would partner with oil and gas company Wintershall to build the 88-mile pipeline, a €31.4 million ($42 million) project to pump 100,000 barrels per day from a northwest oil field to Amal, a gathering...
