Fireman's Fund Says Eagle's Asbestos Coverage Didn't Exist

Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 8:11 PM EDT) -- The Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. and its affiliates sued Eagle Inc. in Louisiana on Tuesday, claiming the company was attempting to use a policy that didn’t exist to compel the insurers to defend it in asbestos exposure suits. 

In a suit filed in Louisiana federal court, Fireman’s Fund Insurance is seeking declaratory judgment that they have no obligation to defend Eagle in underlying personal injury cases based on an alleged policy from 1966.
