SAIC To Pay $473M For Health Care IT Consulting Co. MaxIT

Law360, New York (July 18, 2012, 1:51 PM EDT) -- Technology services company Science Applications International Corp. will acquire Westfield, Ind.-based health care information technology consulting firm maxIT Healthcare Holdings Inc. for $473 million, Virginia-based SAIC said Tuesday.

SAIC has reached an agreement to buy maxIT Healthcare, the largest private, independent health care IT consulting firm in North America, in an all-cash transaction, the firm said. The deal is expected to close in August and also includes up to $20 million in payments to maxIT Healthcare shareholders once SAIC receives post-closing tax refunds.
