Judge Finalizes Carbon Black Settlements

Law360, New York (September 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Thursday approved a $6 million settlement with Columbian Chemicals Co. and a $10 million settlement with Cabot Corp. for their alleged role in fixing the price of carbon black sold in the United States.

Directly after a hearing on the matter, Judge Douglas P. Woodlock of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts issued an order that said the settlement was fair and reasonable.
