Walgreen, Express Scripts End 8-Month Contract Impasse

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 3:21 PM EDT) -- Nearly eight months after cutting ties, Express Scripts Inc. and Walgreen Co. announced Thursday that they’ve inked a new contract that will end a contentious standoff and reunite the nation’s largest pharmacy benefit manager with the biggest domestic drugstore chain.

Terms weren’t disclosed for the multiyear agreement, which restores the link between tens of millions of customers of St. Louis-based Express and nearly 8,000 Walgreens locations.
